How simple ideas lead to scientific discoveries

Adam Savage tell us how simple ideas could help us to made greats discovers with creativity. He gaves many examples such us Richard Feynman, who won a Nobel Prize in physics for his diagrams of the movemento of subatomic particles and he said that he could do that after a conversation that he had with his dad whenhe was a kid. When he was a kid he noticed that when he pulled his wagon the ball that is over the wagon always went to the back and when he ask to his father why happend that his father said that it was inertia; or Eratosthenes, who made one of his biggest discoveries because of a letter that he recived when he worked on the library of Alejandria, discovered the size of the earth only observing and thinking a little. He understood that if someone could see their reflection was blocking the sun when they look down a deep well it's beacuse the sun is directly above the city of Swenet , also he know that a stick stuck in the ground in Alejandria at the same time gives a shado that has 7.2 degrees off-axis. After that he only needed know the distanbe between Alejandria and Swenet and then multiplied by 50. He got 25000 kilometers but that is only the one percent of the real dimension of the eart, Armand Fizeau was a experimental physics, he was confirming people's discovers also he was familiar with Galileo's experiments who was trying to detemined the light's speed but when Galileo culdn't determine that because the thougt that the light was so fast that it was difficult to determine Fizeau solve it only with a toothed well, a mirror and a  beam. To understood science it could be a good idea if you look at the story and how they came to understand it.

OPINION

Science is a very interesting field of study but it's nescesary have a lot of  concentration, imagination to understand this field. Studying old discoveries or ideas will help us  make discoveries as important.

                Simon Sinek: How great leaders inspire action

He explain us why sometimes people don't achieve their objective when it seemed that they're going to do it or when people achieve them when it seems impossible. He mention Apple like an example of a good company that has nothing special but their are leaders. Also he mention Martin Luther King and the Wright brothers, they were not the only one that try to do something different but what made them different? why others companies or people who tried or try to have that success does not has the same results?He noted that all the great and inspiring people has the same way of communication that is the opposite to the rest. With his idea the made a pattern that he call "The golden circle".
People usually communicate their ideas saying what they do, how they do and finally why they do. But , for example, Apple say why they do , how they do and finally what they do. The opposite of the rest, and people feel that what Apple is saying is inspiring. People don't buy what you do it, people buy why you do it.

OPINION

If we started to communicate first explaining why and in the end the goal we would achieve more people to believe in us, if we want a change we would be more easy in the same way if we want to sell a product. It's all in the way you communicate.

Stages of human development

The man who made the video use differents words to describe the stages of the human development.
- Dependence to describe child, where you can notice that the kid always said I need you. He always need help of someone.
-Independence to describe adolescence, they always said I don't need you. They try to show that they can do everything by themself without necessity of someone.He thinks that is an unnecessary stage on evolution because they never admit that they need help and hardly ever accept an advice.
-Interdependence to describe adults, they accept that they are dependent on other people but other people depend of them.They notice that they    can't do things by themselves.
-Developmental for the mature adult  This person is going to will offer help and he is going to receive help from other persons. They are going to collaborate with each others. Also they are going to satisfies all the needs that they have.
-Interconnectedness for the evolved adult.

OPINION

This video could help us to understand the stages or transitions that we have during our life.The differents opinions that we have,since we were children always asking for help to be teenagers and want to do everything without help

Willem Paul Brickman is a researcher and investigete the interaction between a machine and a man. He wants to use virtual reality and avatars  to treat some phobias like the fear of fly or the fear to the insects such us cockroaches. For example someone that is receiving a treatment with virtual reality and has fear to fly. Is going to be in a virtual airport and then he in going to be in the plane and they are going to familiarize with those sensation and the person is going to overcame his fear to fly. They do similars things with the others phobias. With people that suffers acrophobia they shows a mall and the persons starts to be fifth floor, sixth floor and little by little they starts to be in higher places. Or with the social phobias, for example if for someone is difficult to talk with others persons they can use virtual reality to become a little bit more social. In his case, he ask for a volunteer in the audience to have a blind date with a virtual girl
OPINION
This idea, in my opinion, is very interesting and can be used to help people to confront their fears in a easily way without necessity of spending a lot of money.

Jacques's speech from As You Like It

Shakespeare divided life in seven stages in the speech of Jacques in As you like it. This stages  are            the infant ,  the schoolboy, the lover,  the soldier,  the justice, the slippered pantaloon and the second childishness. All of them have specific characteristics completely differents from each others  . For example in the case of the soldier his biggest concern is his honor but in contrast, in case of the lover his biggest concern is his beloved. The same happens with the others ages, it's difficult to find similarities between them, except  with childhood and the second childhood that show us that life ends in the same way as start
In this listening Fred Alley speak about the seven stages of life . In his explanation he said that the ways people react to change are more important than what actually happens to them. Sometimes we could feel disapponted because our life is routinary or even for the differents kinds of problems that we have during the time that we're here but we have to be glad to be alive.

Opinion.- This is a good way to define the stages of life, explain the differents changes that humans have during their life. Changes that happends in a couple of years transitions that ,for example, made a young ans strong man become in a a man with a big belly.

Jacques's spech

All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players;
They have their exits and their entrances,
And one man in his time plays many parts,
His acts being seven ages. At first, the infant,
Mewling and puking in the nurse's arms.
Then the whining schoolboy, with his satchel
And shining morning face, creeping like snail
Unwillingly to school. And then the lover,
Sighing like furnace, with a woeful ballad
Made to his mistress' eyebrow. Then a soldier,
Full of strange oaths and bearded like the pard
Jealous in honour, sudden and quick in quarrel,
Seeking the bubble reputation
Even in the canon's mouth. And then the justice,
In fair round belly with good capon lined,
With eyes severe and beard of formal cut,
Full of wise saws and modern instances;
And so he plays his part. The sixth age shifts
Into the lean and slippered pantaloon
With spectacles on nose and pouch on side;
His youthful hose, well saved, a world too wide
For his shrunk shank, and his big manly voice,
Turning again toward childish treble, pipes
And whistles in his sound. Last scene of all,
That ends this strange eventful history,
Is second childishness and mere oblivion,
Sans teeth, sans eyes, sans taste, sans everything.

Neil Harbinson is the first person recognized as a ciborg. In 2004 he get a eyebot that let him listen to the colors. He has achromatopsia a extrange condition that only allows him to see in black and white. He talks about how his life change after he get the eyebot, he has a a different way to percive beauty, food or even sounds, for example he starts to hear in colors . For him the sound of the telephone is green. He started to paint music and people's voices because they have frequencies that he related to colors. Also he can perceive colors that the human eye can't see for example the ultraviolet or the infrared  .He creates a cyborgs fundation that tries to help people become a cyborg, using technology as a part of the body. He belive that if we extened our senses we coul extend our knowledge and life coul be more exinting if we start creating applications for the human body.

OPINION

He is a great example of perseverance. He has a problem but he tried to solve it  getting a eyebot, after that his life change completly and know he is consider the firt ciborg
